PLM was appointed to fit-out and furnish the entire serviced residence, covering 157 units across 35 floors, including all common amenities and back of house facilities. Room sizes ranged from 400 to 1,600 square feet. The scope of work included a variety of materials and finishes including timber flooring and wall paneling, ironmongery, wallpaper, painting, built-in furniture and plasterboard ceilings.
The base building has asymmetrical floor plates and was originally designed and constructed to serve as a commercial building. This caused a number of challenges which PLM’s construction team managed to solve. Low ceiling heights in certain areas caused some issues with MEP installation, which were overcome through careful planning and PLM’s extensive MEP experience.
