SkyPark, Subang Airport

The refurbishment of Subang Airport Terminal 3, which was once the main international airport terminal of Malaysia, was part of a RM 300 million plan to transform the building into an ultra-modern general and corporate aviation hub.

PLM was appointed to refurbish the interior space, external shell and certain areas of the main terminal and satellite building. The project scope included interior design and space planning, architectural design, interior-fit out work, structural enhancement and modification works including the construction of additional mezzanine floors, replacement of all existing finishes, an external composite aluminum panel façade complete with structural steel works, landscaping works, road works, airport security, MEP services and the HV system.

Works were carried out in phases whilst the terminal was fully operational throughout the construction period. Detailed planning, sequencing and scheduling were done in close collaboration with the Client’s representatives and airport authorities. Interior works were handed over in 6 months while the external works, including the construction of an annex building, were completed in 10 months.
